The 8 Best Pest Control Companies in Utah, Ranked by the State's Own Evaluation

The best pest control company in Utah in 2026, according to the State of Utah's own procurement evaluation, is Falcon Pest Control — the highest-scored vendor of all ten that bid on the statewide contract. Below: every awarded company, ranked by the state's published scores, plus how the evaluation worked and how to choose for yourself.

Full disclosure: this page is published by Falcon Pest Control. The ranking below is not our opinion — it reproduces, verbatim, the scores from the State of Utah's published Award Justification for Solicitation #SB26-4 (May 20, 2026), a public record you can read in full here (PDF). Every company listed earned a statewide contract award — these are Utah's eight state-vetted pest control vendors.

How the State Ranked Them

In 2026, Utah's Division of Purchasing ran a formal request for proposals for statewide Pest Control Services. An evaluation committee of four subject-matter experts — from the Department of Corrections, the Department of Public Safety, and the Department of Government Operations — scored every proposal: up to 800 points for technical merit and 200 points for cost, 1,000 total, with 600 required for an award.

Ten companies bid. Two did not meet the mandatory minimums. The eight below were awarded — ranked here by their official grand total. (The RFP also included a separate Category 2 for wildlife and bird solutions; four of the eight were awarded both categories, noted below.)

Utah's Eight State-Awarded Pest Control Companies, Ranked

1

Falcon Pest Control (awarded as Mountain Supply, LLC) · Category 1

Total: 900.39/1000 · Technical: 781.25/800 — both the highest of any vendor

The only vendor to clear 900 total points, with a technical score more than 60 points ahead of the field. Falcon is Utah's only independent pest control company owned and led by a Board Certified Entomologist (Trent Frazer, BCE #B3413 — one of fewer than 500 BCEs worldwide). Serves the Wasatch Front and Wasatch Back; residential plans, commercial IPM, rodent, bird, and bat work; no long-term contracts and an unlimited reservice warranty. How to Choose a Pest Control Company in Utah

Whichever company you call, evaluate it the way the state did — on substance:

  • Credentials, not slogans. The highest credential in the industry is the BCE (Board Certified Entomologist). Ask who designs the treatment protocols and what their training is.
  • Documentation after every visit. If a company can't show you what was applied, where, and why, it can't pass a health inspection — or protect you in a dispute.
  • Guarantees over contracts. A company confident in its work offers free reservice between visits and doesn't need a 12-month contract to keep you.
  • Third-party evidence. Public procurement scores, health-department records, and verified reviews beat any ad. That's why this page is built on the state's numbers, not ours.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best pest control company in Utah?

By the State of Utah's own 2026 evaluation, Falcon Pest Control — with the highest total score (900.39/1000) and highest technical score (781.25/800) of all ten bidders. The evaluation was scored by state experts from Corrections, Public Safety, and Government Operations.

Is a local company better than a national chain in Utah?

In this evaluation, yes: the top six finishers were Utah companies. Rentokil — a global corporation — was awarded a contract but placed 7th of 8 by total score. Scale didn't buy a better technical evaluation.

Are these rankings just your opinion?

No — and that's the point. The order above is the state's published grand-total scores, reproduced exactly, with the source document hosted here. Yes, we publish this page — but we didn't score it.

Can government agencies use these vendors directly?

Yes. All eight companies hold awards on Utah's statewide Category 1 contract, so eligible public entities can engage any of them — including Falcon — without running their own procurement.
